Born in Cambridge, Bec lives and works in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. She discovered her passion for photography while studying art at foundation level and her love for the medium continued to grow throughout her BA in Graphic Arts – where she specialised in lens and digital media. Classically trained (at ARU, Cambridge) in the days of film and darkrooms, her degree show at the Mall Galleries, London, consisted of a series of hand printed portrait and documentary photographs.
For 20 years, Bec worked as a commercial photographer as part of her partner role at The Design Office – a marketing communications agency. She is a true creative with a keen eye for design and has worked on numerous brand identity projects. She still enjoys providing graphic design services to her clients.
Bec’s love for taking natural, documentary style portraits has remained and she continues to develop her personal portfolio alongside commissions.
Her passion for art and creativity is noticeable throughout her work and her skill for producing authentic, personality-infused images lends itself to businesses, organisations and individuals.
Bec’s photography has been used as editorial in national publications and websites.
